WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING EXHIBITORS! Why vendors should come: THE VENUE: The West Virginia Off Grid Living, Survive & Thrive Expo will happen in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Greenbrier County West Virginia. It is easily accessible just off of I-64 and SR 219 at Lewisburg WV. The venue is within a 4 to 6 hour drive of the largest population centers in the Northeast and, due to our marketing strategy, should pull in thousands of festival-goers over the course of the weekend. AND the State Fairgrounds has the infrastructure, parking, indoor facilities, and open-area outdoor space need for this type of event to be a huge success. To save vendors money, there will also be space available on site for overnighting (campers or tents). THE EVENT: This will be the first of its kind of event anywhere in WV and will not merely focus on one aspect of off grid living. The aim here is to be the number one largest off grid living and survival preparedness and self-reliance expo in the State of WV thereby attracting attendees from across WV, VA, KY, OH, PA, and other states. The expo will showcase wild edibles, wild game foods, food preservation, meat processing, flintknapping, homesteading, bush craft, tools & weapons, hunting, fishing, trapping, modern & primitive survival, hide tanning, overlanding, survival gear and equipment, as will as all manner of homesteading equipment, etc. Our aim is to have at least 3 but no more than 5 vendors of any single industry discipline so as not to dilute the attendees purchasing power or create too much competition for our vendors. Our expected attendance: We are expecting between 6000 & 8000 people to attend over the course of the weekend. We base this these three factors: 1) There are nearly 45K people in the County and over 1.5 million people within a 4 hour radius of our easily accessible venue (just off of the Interstate). 2) No other event with this much diversity and overlap occurs within the entire State of WV and the demographics across WV, Southeastern OH and KY, and South Western VA are such that this kind of Expo will be of significant interest to tens-of thousands of outdoors types. and 3) our very unique all-of-the-above marketing strategy. We will have three celebrity guest speakers throughout the course of the event (see "Guest Experts" page on website). Here's how we plan on getting the right people in the door: To get more people through the gates and into the event we are enlisting the help of the West Virginia Department of Tourism to market this event across state lines. Tourism is HUGE in WV and the word continues to get out. Additionally, we are building a professional website (currently in the works), and will use magazines, newspapers, and all of our publicly-funding visitor's centers to get the word out. Finally, tv ad campaign will be pushing commercials beginning six weeks prior to the event. Our experience with shows: The Organizer is a 30-year retired military officer who has planned numerous military operations and the former owner of a Food Truck Business (running food truck operations at fairs and festivals all across WV). Moreover, my experience as a longtime primitive bush crafter and owner of a primitive survival workshops business, my never quit work ethic, my expertise in planning and coordinating missions, my passion for off grid living, and my ability to assemble the right team around me to ensure the success of my vendors, I will go out of my way to grow this event into the largest of its kind in WV. In fact, my vision is the gradually grow this event into the "Sturgis Motorcycle Rally" of Homesteading and Self-Reliance Expos! Want to be a vendor? Send Us a Message |
